Valsa is from Rekikelin
kennel in Rovaniemi, Finland. It was six puppies in the litter;
four tree-colored females, one red female and one red male. Valsa
is tree-colored and has double dewclaws. She moved in to us 2009-01-06
when she was nine weeks old. Valsa is eleven weeks old at the first
picture and four months old at the other two.
Valsa seems to be a really cozy dog. She often
wants to come and be hold in one's arms. That doesn't stop her from
being wild too when it's play time. She can also be independent
and doesn't always want to go indoors when I tell her too. Dimmbrá
adopted her directly and it feels like she is one in the family.
2009-07-18 Valsa participated in herding test
and shown "very good herding abilities for the day".
Valsa got her eyes tested 2009-11-16 and she has posterior polar cataract in both eyes. Her hips were X-rayed in 2010-04-01 and she has A-hips.
Valsa has an interesting pedigree because her father
"Eyvinur fra Bjarkarlundi" (called Vinur) is born in Germany.
Valsas grandmother "Tritla Fra Gull Lyklinum" comes from
Netherlands and her grandfather "Skreppeng`s Snjo Morten"
is from Norway.
We have a lot to do with our new house/farm
so it isn't the best time for us to have a puppy right now but we
couldn't resist this gorgeous litter. I have met both Vinur and
Mette-Marit at dog shows and they both are lovely dogs. Especially
Vinur have a special place in my heart. He is the most beautiful
Icelandic male I ever have seen. And it is also extra fun that Mette-Marit
is a cousin to our own Dimmbrá.
Apart from Valsas exciting pedigree both her
parents have a list of qualifications. They both are Nordic and
International dog show champions. They have done the Finnish mental
test which said that they are not afraid of shooting. Mette-Marit
is competing in agility and obedience and has title LPI. Vinur is
competing in agility and has competed in obedience with 173 points.
